Fire Alarm systems
These can be split into three types:-
Conventional fire alarm systems 
These can range from 1 to 24 zones and all comply with BS 5839 part 4 1988. They will show an area of fire to a zone only.
Addressable fire alarm systems
These, such as the Morley IAS, are mainly designed for the larger building where a fire condition needs to be identified down to the exact device or room.
Two wire fire alarm systems
With these only a pair of cables is used that has all the smoke detectors, manual fire
alarm call points and bells or sounders connected. This means a saving time and materials in the cabling of the building and will also therefore save money.
