The new acquisition is seen as a exciting progression by SCM founder David Knight, who said: “Our company has grown steadily and organically over the last 21 years, mainly by recommendation based on our quality of service we provide to our customers.
“This latest acquisition means we can now improve our service to care homes and hospitals even further, by maintaining and servicing equipment such as hoists and bath lifts, as well as their fire, and nurse call systems.”
Mr Knight also said: “Our personal service is highly-prized and one of the prime reasons for our customer retention.”
Chatham based Wealden Rehab will continue to supply and install the nursing equipment, such as hoists and baths. Wealden Rehab Oliver Campbell said: “We will continue to work closely with SCM as a business partner to ensure all customers receive the highest level of service.
This latest deal means that each company will be able to concentrate on its own strengths, which can only be for the good of our customers.”
