3/3/2022 0 Comments Supporting Aspens![]() In support of our Nominated Charitable Customer, Aspens, Southern Care Maintenance are proudly sponsoring their first event of the year, Autism Acceptance Week. This event runs from 26 March to 3 April as their Family Support Team celebrate 10 years of providing their much needed support to families and individuals across the south east. To help the Team raise much needed funds so they can reach more people and expand their services, they have launched an Au-Some 10 for 10 Virtual Challenge. All you have to do is challenge yourself to do 10 of any activity you like during Autism Acceptance Week. After a conversation had by a member of the SCM team with their daughter, Alice (aged 7), about what autism is and the amazing work Aspens do she set to work to come up with her own challenge. So, after a little brainstorming, what better she thought than 10 Good Deeds! It's no surprise therefore that everyone at SCM is ready to show their support with donations along the way to help Alice to help others and are intrigued to find out just what is on Alice's list of Good Deeds...... To find out more about the Au-Some 10 for 10 Virtual Challenge or to make a donation to the Au-Some Appeal, please see: https://www.aspens.org.uk/Event/aspens-au-some-10-for-10-challenge

A massive THANK YOU to everyone on the team for delving deep to support such a worthwhile cause. We are pleased to announce that our nominated charitable customer for 2022 is Aspens.
Throughout the south east of England, Aspens provides high quality care and support to children, young people and adults on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities; meeting their needs and aspirations and empowering them to learn and grow through an integrated network of services. Aspens believes that everyone deserves to live their life to its full potential and strive to achieve this for those they support through the services they offer, which include residential care, supported living, community outreach, specialist family support, an advice chatline and a wide range of activities at their day care centres such as art, IT, sports, horticulture and employment skills. If you would like to find out more about Aspens or would like to make a donation, please visit their website - https://www.aspens.org.uk/ If you are one of our local charitable customers and would like to be considered for nomination for 2023, please let us know. #aspens 31/3/2020 CORONAVIRUS / COVID-19Southern Care Maintenance has been providing 24 hours Peace of Mind service for our contract customers for the last 30 years. However, in order to comply with the Government's latest rules announced on 23 March 2020 we are no longer able to continue offering our full range of services.
James Brokenshire (Minister of State for Security at the Home Office) has extended the Key Worker status to all fire safety personnel actively working in fire safety. Ian Moore, CEO of the Fire Industry Association has said, "Fire Engineers carry out a mission-critical job to not only fix but maintain fire systems and products such as extinguishers, fire alarms systems etc. We have real first-hand knowledge and evidence of the dangerous and potentially deadly effects that a lack of maintenance on fire systems can lead to...". We have therefore decided to only provide essential call-outs in the Alarms Division and all services in the Nursing Equipment Division are being suspended from 1 April 2020. Our engineers have been instructed to follow the COVID-19 precautions from the Government and NHS and have the necessary PPE equipment to do this. We will try to provide some support by email to any messages received through our website - southerncare.co.uk and will review the situation weekly as this is a fast changing situation and full services will be resumed immediately Government's rules have changed. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused but hope you understand this is the right thing to do in the current situation in order to help protect our staff, our customers and the NHS. SCM - 31st March 2020 6/3/2018 0 Comments Live Chat now on our website![]() As the whole world seems so busy these days and we often just want a quick answer to a query or problem, we have now introduced Live Chat on our website to help our customers. This is available on most website pages most of the time during normal working hours, and sometimes outside of these! If we are not available you can still use it to send us a message, which will probably be quicker for you than typing another email. Next time you are visiting us and have a query try it out and one of the team will be pleased to help you. 14/10/2014 0 Comments BAFE & BSI Kite-mark acreditations![]() As you may have noticed, this year we have now been accredited as a BAFE registered and Kite marked company. As well as operating to our own internal highest standards and processes, these are now audited externally by BSI providing further reassurance to our customers. Building on this we have decided to produce a series of case studies to show how and why our customers have trusted us with their systems. The first of these is available to be read here - Install of Wireless Fire Alarm |
