This October the engineers of SCM will be saying goodbye to their luscious locks, or in some cases their usual bad hair days (!), in favour of a buzz cut in aid of Breast Cancer Now, a charity that is very close to the heart of many.
Never more so now than for everyone on the SCM team following a colleague’s recent diagnosis. The strength, courage and never failing cheerful persona of our colleague who shows such positivity and grit during their on-going treatment has inspired the team to show their support and do what they can to raise money and awareness for a charity that is the UK’s largest comprehensive breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now.
What about the ladies you say!? Well, whilst it is only the chaps getting a close shave, the ladies on the team will be showing their support on the day with some unusual hair-dos that are bound to raise an eye brow or two!
Keep an eye out for updates on our webpage on Tuesday 12 October as the transformations take place!
About Breast Cancer Now
Steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care, Breast Cancer Now is there for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. Every donation they receive helps make sure that the research taking place in their labs and the care and support they provide to those who so desperately need it can continue. With breast cancer being the fourth most common cause of death in the UK, every donation makes a difference and supports the research needed to find new ways to prevent, diagnose, treat and help people to live with the disease.
